These orientation sessions are designed for anyone wanting to learn more about CSC Montana, including cancer survivors at any stage of treatment and survivorship, support persons of a loved one with cancer, local health professionals, and more.
During New Participant Orientation, you will learn about the history of CSC Montana; our organization’s mission, philosophy, and values; and the five cornerstones of our program of support.
You’ll get an overview of our programs and services and, if you attend in person, receive a tour of our building.

Now you’re ready to participate in the wide variety of programs on our calendar – from topic-specific educational sessions to cooking classes to yoga and social events – and meet others in the CSC Montana community. All programs and services are free of charge. Please note: registration online or by phone is required for many of our programs.
Participation in support groups or individual counseling requires a bit more preparation – just a quick meeting with one of our mental health clinicians. You’ll discuss your specific needs, learn how support groups and/or counseling works, and receive referrals for other resources as needed.

Cancer Support Community Montana is pleased to provide a Virtual Community to help people impacted by cancer who are not able to come to programs in person but live in Montana. Here are some options for blogs, discussion boards, and education – all monitored and developed by Cancer Support Community Montana and our parent company.
Many of our programs are offered virtually to help you attend where ever you are located. On the calendar, if you see a zoom icon, the program is available virtually. If you do not have a computer, laptop, ipad or other device, CSCMT can help you find a way to participate.

MyLifeLine exists to easily connect cancer patients and caregivers with friends and family in order to reduce stress, anxiety and isolation. By creating your own private website, our goal is to help you find hope, regain control, document your journey, and receive social, emotional, and practical support from friends and family throughout the treatment process and beyond.
On MyLifeLine discussion boards, you can connect with others like you. Share your unique cancer experiences and offer insights, coping strategies and inspiration. Covering a wide range of topics like coping with side effects of cancer treatment, nutrition with cancer, and caregiver support, our discussion boards are moderated by licensed mental health professionals and are available 24/7.

CSC Montana has a number of Resource Centers throughout the state to ensure that no one faces cancer alone. A Resource Center is a referral center placed in small communities where the small population will not support a full Chapter. All people impacted by cancer can access a calendar listing the virtual programs of CSC Montana as well as some in-person programs that may be offered in each community.

Cancer Support Community Montana offers emotional support through support groups, informal connection groups, and individual short-term counseling in person and through telehealth – all offered free of charge. Check out the program calendar to see the dates and times for upcoming emotional support programs, as well as other group details, and facilitator information.
Support groups provide an opportunity for people with shared experiences to connect, share resources, and develop healthy coping strategies. All support groups are led by licensed mental health professionals. For privacy reasons, links for emotional support programs are not listed on the online calendar.
