Help Ensure No One Faces Cancer Alone

One of the things we’re most proud of at Cancer Support Community Montana is that every one of our programs is offered free of charge to people impacted by cancer.

Support groups. Exercise classes. Educational workshops. Creative programs. Family activities. These resources are available without cost because we believe everyone deserves emotional and social support during and after cancer treatment—not just those who can afford it.

But providing those programs isn’t free.

Behind every class, support group, and community event is a network of volunteers, sponsors, donors, and community partners who help make it all possible. Their generosity allows participants to focus on healing instead of worrying about another bill.

Why Does Free Support Matter?

A cancer diagnosis affects far more than a person’s health.

Many families are already balancing medical appointments, travel, insurance questions, time away from work, and the countless day-to-day challenges that come with treatment. In a state as large as Montana, simply getting to appointments can mean hours on the road and additional expenses. The National Cancer Institute notes that cancer affects not only the patient but also caregivers and loved ones, making access to emotional and practical support especially important.

The last thing anyone should have to consider is whether they can afford a support group, a wellness class, or a place to connect with others who understand what they’re experiencing.

By offering programs at no cost, Cancer Support Community Montana removes one more barrier during an already difficult time.

That means participants have the freedom to engage as much or as little as they need, free of financial pressure standing in the way.

A Community Makes These Programs Possible

Cancer Support Community Montana may provide the programs, but the community helps sustain them.

Local businesses, organizations, and individual supporters all play an important role in keeping our doors open and our programs available across Montana.

Today, several of our programs—including Strength Training, Water Aerobics, Cancer Support Group, Cancer Transitions, and Prostate Connection—are seeking sponsorship. Sponsorship helps ensure these services remain available to everyone who needs them, regardless of their financial circumstances.

It’s a meaningful way for businesses and organizations to invest directly in the health and welfare of their communities.

There Are Many Ways to Help

Supporting Cancer Support Community Montana doesn’t always mean writing a check.

For some people, volunteering their time is just as valuable. Volunteers help create the friendly environment participants experience when they walk through our doors. Whether assisting with events, helping behind the scenes, or supporting day-to-day activities, volunteers become an important part of the community that surrounds people affected by cancer.

Businesses can also make a lasting impact by sponsoring programs that bring people together for education, wellness, and emotional support. Sponsors are recognized through our printed calendars and e-newsletters, but the greatest recognition comes from knowing their support helps ensure these programs remain free for those who need them most.

Every Act of Support Touches Someone

It’s easy to think of sponsorships and volunteer hours as numbers on a calendar or line items in a budget. In reality, they become something much more personal.

A sponsored exercise class gives someone a place to rebuild strength. A volunteer’s warm welcome can ease the anxiety of attending a support group for the first time. A funded educational workshop helps families better understand what to expect during treatment.

Those moments may seem small on their own, but together they create a community where people are recognized, supported, and never alone.

Help Us Keep Support Free

Cancer Support Community Montana exists because our community believes no one should face cancer alone—and no one should have to pay for the support that helps them navigate it.

If you’d like to become a program sponsor, volunteer your time, or learn more about how you can help, we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we can help make certain that every person impacted by cancer has access to the support they deserve, free of charge.
