Mending in the Mountains is an annual women’s retreat for Montana women who have recently experienced cancer. This year, due to COVID 19, the event will be held virtually from September 16-18, 2022. This year’s speaker is Anna L. Schwartz, PhD, FNP-BC, FAAN who conducted early pioneering work in exercise oncology and is internationally recognized for her research on the physical and psychological benefits of exercise for cancer survivors. Anna’s research is a blend of her life experiences in competitive sports, clinical care and health promotion. As a mentor, educator and survivor, Anna is eager to share her knowledge and experience at this year’s Mending in the Mountains. Her discussion will feature the importance of exercise during and after cancer; necessary precautions and contraindications; and how to develop an action plan to increase exercise.
Registration closes on August 20 and “Mending in a Box” supplies will be sent out the first week of September. For more information, contact email@example.com
