Healthy Excursions

Healthy Excursions is an exercise-inspired program for people at any stage of a cancer diagnosis and their friends and family. This program encourages continued exercise through cancer treatment and beyond, while encouraging self-care for friends and family. A variety of programs are offered on a rotating basis. 5K Training is for those who would like to complete a 5K or 10K. This is a training program offered in partnership with Bozeman Running Company, and prepare to run or walk in the Sweetpea race each summer.

Climbing is offered and held at a local Climbing Center. All equipment is provided, and all skill levels are welcome to participate.

Hiking is offered each summer. A new trail is introduced each time, so you can learn new trails while enjoying nature. This is a great time to include your family and friends.

Organic Gardening & Seed to Table education is available in our beautiful Garden of Hope each summer. This is generously sponsored by Gallatin Garden Club and the Bozeman Co-op.

Steps for Strength is offered when the weather permits and is designed to encourage healthy habits and consistent exercise. Walks take place in town and at the Mall and are intended for all abilities. Bring your family and friends and enjoy Steps for Strength together.

Fishing teaches the fundamentals of fly fishing and is offered throughout the summer and fall. All equipment is provided, and all skill levels are welcome to participate. A special thank you to John & Ramona Baden for the use of their beautiful fishing pond and property.

Winter Sports, including snowshoeing & skiing, are offered when the snow flies. All equipment is provided, and instructors are ready to in these fun winter sports.

Swimming is provided at Eagle Mount. Enjoy this warm, non-chlorinated pool with zero-access entry for exercise that is easy on your joints and body. Please contact CSC for necessary paperwork before starting this program.
