Our educational classes are intended to broaden your knowledge of topics relating to cancer treatment and recovery. They are open to anyone diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones. Check the calendar for upcoming educational events and programs. Thank you to Qualicare Family HomeCare.
These monthly classes offer a great opportunity to learn about eating and preparing nutritious food. You’ll learn from Noelle Butler, ND, an expert in nutrition for during and after cancer treatment, and other experts in nutritional analysis and creative ways to bring healthy food into your daily menu plans. Thank you to First Security Bank for sponsorship of Cooking Classes and Paul & Arlene Wylie of Nutrition Education.
Refresh Your Look
Refresh Your Look is a free, non-medical, brand-neutral, program to help individuals with cancer look good, improve their self-esteem and manage their treatment and recovery with greater confidence. Learn about skin care, makeup, nails and hair care. Held once per month, you can view it on our calendar.
We offer a variety of programs to help educate and encourage cancer survivors, as well as friends and family to engage in healthy behaviors. Program examples include: “Ask the Oncologist”, “Ask the Personal Trainer”, or “Learning about Sleep”.
Spiritual Health can be an important component of health and can be a source of hope or struggle throughout the cancer journey. Look for education classes held throughout the year at Cancer Support Community, or connect with Rev. Ken Mottram at Bozeman Health Spiritual Care.
Managing Hair Loss
This program offers those in cancer treatment to try on and experiment with wearing a wig, while selecting one that fits for you from our collection. As with all our programs, wigs, hats and scarves are provided free of charge. Licensed cosmetologists and volunteers will help you choose the right wig, and provide education on how to care for your new wig. Wig trimming is also available if needed. To schedule, please call CSC at 582-1600.
