Cancer Support Community serves Montana Cancer Survivors at any stage of diagnosis and survivorship, their families, and loved ones through programming all offered free of charge. Our programming model is comprised of 5 pillars:

At Cancer Support Community, we know cancer. We know how complex, difficult and isolating cancer can be. By joining our community, you will find people who understand what you are going through and you will be inspired by the strength of others and enhance your ability to make decisions that are best for you. All programs are evidence-based and led by professionals in the field. Programming is offered in person, virtually and hybrid. Overview

Our Programs

YOUTH & FAMILY PROGRAMS

The first place cancer metastasis is to the family. Youth are affected by having cancer themselves, as well as when a close friend or family member has a cancer diagnosis. Our Youth and Family programs are intended to provide a place of support and sense of community for the whole family.

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT

Cancer Support Community Montana offers emotional support through support groups, informal connection groups, and individual short-term counseling – all offered free of charge. Support groups provide an opportunity for people with shared experiences to connect, share resources, and develop healthy coping strategies.

EDUCATION PATHWAYS

Knowledge is power! Through research at the Cancer Support Community Headquarters Research and Training Institute, needs assessments, and current best practices, CSC Montana creates an education plan to serve cancer survivors and their loved ones.

MIND/BODY

Mind-Body programming is designed to enhance self-awareness of the mind and body, promote relaxation, self-care, and overall well-being.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLES

Exercise and nutrition is important physical and mental health. CSC Montana offers healthy lifestyle classes to meet the unique needs of cancer survivors. All exercise classes are taught by professionals that offer accommodations and alterations to meet the individual needs of each cancer survivor in the class.

RETREATS

Cancer Support Community Montana provides retreats that focus on education, restoration, and connection. All CSC Montana retreats are provided for Montanans and their families free of charge.

CANCER TRANSITIONS

Cancer Transitions is a 4-part series that addresses all aspects of cancer survivorship: emotional well-being, nutrition and fitness, medical management, and navigating relationships.
