Knowledge is power! Through research at the Cancer Support Community Headquarters Research and Training Institute, needs assessments, and current best practices, CSC Montana creates an education plan to serve cancer survivors and their loved ones. Programs and resources offered through CSC Montana are evidence-based and taught by certified and licensed experts in their field.

EDUCATION

CSC Montana partners with oncologists, genetic counselors, sleep specialists, naturopathic doctors, and other specialists to provide the latest information and answer questions for CSC Montana participants.

COMPLIMENTARY MEDICINES

CSC Montana offers programs to introduce cancer survivors and their loved ones to alternative health approaches such as acupuncture education, acupressure, and naturopathic medicine education.

COMMUNITY LIBRARY

Come by the CSC Bozeman or Missoula offices to check out educational resources, cook books, inspirational stories, and kids books – all free of charge.

FRANKLY SPEAKING ABOUT CANCER®

FSAC is the Cancer Support Community’s landmark cancer education series that provides trusted information on a variety of topics important to people affected by cancer. This series includes local presentations by licensed experts, written materials, and online videos.

NUTRITION

Taught by certified and licensed professionals, CSC Montana’s nutrition programs are evidence-based. These programs cover topics such as food to help manage side effects, weight management, and cooking classes.

CACNER TRANSITIONS

This educational series is offered 6 times per year to address the concerns and excitement of survivorship. These programs are specifically targeted for cancer survivors who are nearing the end, finished, or on maintenance treatment.

WIG FITTINGS

CSC Montana staff and volunteers will help cancer survivors who will loose or have already lost their hair due to cancer treatment an opportunity to try on wigs and hats. All wigs and hats are provided free of charge to cancer survivors. To schedule a wig fitting in Bozeman please call (406) 582-1600, in Missoula please call (406) 371-5077.
